Disclosures from Strategy show it bought 4,603 bitcoin for about $370 million on 31 August 2026, its first purchase since late June, lifting holdings to 845,050 BTC while also repurchasing $152 million of variable-rate preferred stock.

In a separate twist, Strategy—long a vocal critic of selling bitcoin—sold some of its holdings in 2026 for the first time, underscoring shifting tactics among major asset holders.
