Strategy disclosed on 31 August 2026 that it had bought 4,603 bitcoin for about $370 million, its first purchase since late June and the end of a ten-week pause, taking its holdings to 845,050 BTC. In the same disclosure it reported repurchasing $152 million of its variable-rate preferred stock. Long the loudest voice against ever selling, Strategy also sold bitcoin in 2026 for the first time.
DeepSeek's V4 was trained on domestic Chinese silicon, a signal of self-sufficiency amid US chip-export controls, even as the model faces government bans in the US.
