Strategy Buys Back In
A ten-week pause ends with a $370 million bitcoin purchase and a preferred-stock repurchase, in a year the company also sold for the first time.

Strategy disclosed on 31 August 2026 that it had bought 4,603 bitcoin for about $370 million, its first purchase since late June and the end of a ten-week pause, taking its holdings to 845,050 BTC. In the same disclosure it reported repurchasing $152 million of its variable-rate preferred stock.
The buying resumption lands in a year that broke the company's own rule. Long the loudest voice against ever selling, Strategy sold bitcoin in 2026 for the first time.
